Oh snap! That’s So Raven is making a comeback. You heard it here first (or not) but the 90’s baby’s childhood is coming back in full effect.

I don’t know about y’all but That’s So Raven was one of the most watched TV shows in my household growing up. I considered Raven Baxter (played by Raven Symone) as a role model for myself because she was the average teenager but with a twist-- seeing into the future played a big part in her life.

According to deadline.com, Symone announced last month that she had a big announcement (no she is not pregnant). Symone will be leaving The View before the end of the year and will be collaborating with Disney for a That’s So Raven sequel.

In the upcoming sequel, a decade later, Raven will play a divorced mother with two kids (a son and daughter). The website also indicates that one of her children will inherit her ability to see into the future.

TV Line reports that Raven will have a "bold, confident, and driven" teen daughter named Nia, and a younger "true innocent" son, Booker, who's "in no rush to grow up."

Words can’t describe how excited I am for this sequel. I’m hoping that they will keep the original vibe of the show unlike modernizing it like they did for Fuller House and Girl Meets World. I know they have to modernize the show to keep the younger generations interested but I like the old 90’s feeling better.

As far as if this will be a reunion type of sequel with other characters like Chelsea (Anneliese van der Pol, Eddie (Orlando Brown) and Corey (Kyle Massey).

“Being that I’m not head of casting, all I can do is say that I’m in it right now,” Symone said, “We’re going around the country, finding those really really good talented females and males to be in the show.”

“One thing I loved about That’s So Raven is that we had a cast that was seasoned, we had people that had their own shows, worked with Bill Cosby or that worked with all kinds of people,” Symone said. “When you surround new talent with veterans then you help raise good talent in the industry.”

There isn’t an exact title of the show or date as too when the sequel will be released, but it will be released sometime in 2017. “That’s So Raven 2” is definitely in the works.
